We are so excited to announce that our audio version of the book
"Swinging From the Chandelier: Finding Joy in the Journey Through Autism"
is now available. You can find all the available platforms on our website:
It was a labor of love to produce the hard copy of the book and then Dan went the extra mile and encouraged me to do an audio book. I read all of the chapters personally and then Glenn read his "I wonder if a dad can fix it" chapter. Ben wrote the second part of the book and he read that himself. It is filled with pictures from his life along with his own words and thoughts.
Dan was diagnosed with dyslexia when he was in 2nd grade and through much hard work and tutoring he now loves to read. His preferred method is to listen to an audio book with the hard copy in his hands because his actual reading speed is much slower than his listening speed. He has listened to over 3000 hours of audio books with no end in sight.
As he was helping with the audio book conversion for "Swinging From the Chandelier", he confessed that he kept falling asleep while in production. He was drawn back to his childhood and all the time I read to him before bed. Just the sound of my voice was still enough to lull him to la la land.
Hopefully, you hearing the story for the first time will keep you on the edge of your seat and not the edge of slumber!
Love you more...
Mom
