It is so amazing how one event can change the course of your life trajectory.
I always wanted to be a nurse and started my college journey at Eastern College with the intent to transfer to Jefferson University for my nursing classes. I made it through Chemistry my first semester but really struggled with Organic Chemistry the next semester. There was just something about the abstract concepts that I could not see or touch that made it hard for me to learn.
My semester came down to the fact that I needed a C on my Organic Chemistry final or I would have to repeat the course. I had a long conversation with God and said:
"Lord, I need a C on this final or I am taking it as a sign that I am not supposed to become a nurse!"
My backup plan was to become a librarian and spend my days in the place I loved the most, filled with shelves and shelves of books!
The Lord heard and answered my prayer and I earned my needed C and the rest, as they say, is history.
Fast forward to last week when Ben was invited to present at the University of Delaware. I walked into the scheduled room, looked up and saw my arch nemesis, the periodic table! Thousands of feelings and emotions flooded my mind but the biggest one is how different my life would be had that one very difficult course caused me to change the course of my dream.
So grateful for my family and their ever constant support and for Ben's passion to share his message wherever he goes! University of Delaware was amazing and so well received.
Of course, the second highlight of the trip was an amazing visit to U Dairy Creamery!!
Thank you to all the amazing people who have helped and encouraged us along this amazing journey called life!
Love you more,
Mom
